Racemes with flowers: (from stem counts). Just after the prebloom spray, the no clip strips had the most open flowers, when bees were first released. Late clipped strips hadn’t yet come into bloom. They reached peak bloom 5 weeks later just after the bloom spray, after no and early clipped strips had passed peak bloom.
The total amount of bloom over the season was reduced by the clipping treatments relative to the no clip treatment.
