(Figure: Graph) The diamonds represent the average number of seeds per pod
for pairs of flowers pollinated in succession on a plant; 1&2, 3&4,
etc. We fit a logarithmically declining curve to these data; that was our
best fit among linear, exponential and negative hyperbolic functions which
have been used to model this phenomenon before.
